Meet Kathy

The descendant of teachers, farmers, and small-town newspaper editors, Kathy A.  grew up in relative isolation on a small farm in central Michigan. At Northern Michigan University, she fell in love with the uncrowded beauty of the Upper Peninsula. She began her teaching career in 1985, and started teaching at the community college level after earning a Master’s in Applied Mathematics at Michigan State University.  Kathy moved to the metro Detroit area in 2001 when she joined the mathematics faculty at Schoolcraft College.  She loves teaching practical courses, like Business Mathematics and Statistics.

She met Dyche, her husband of 16 years, in the church a few blocks from her first house downstate.  Kathy now lives in Plymouth.    When she is not working, she enjoys history podcasts, Turner Classic movies, crocheting, walking, and playing family games.  Kathy and Dyche love spending time with their two daughters, son-in-law, and two grandchildren.

Kathy was first introduced to RFC through her former neighbor and financial advisor, Betsy Ford.  She is honored to serve on the client advisory council.
